Automatic Interval Sampler

We introduce our self as a leading manufacturer of Automatic Interval samplers for effluent
sampling, since 1980. We have supplied more than 1000 samplers of various models through
out country & abroad. We have supplied these samplers to various industries like chemical,
Petrochemicals, Mining, Ore, Pulp & Paper, Textiles, Research Institute, Environment consultant,
Sewerage & Effluent treatment plants.

Accurate and reliable sampling and proper analysis are the two basic requirement of any
industry to take remedial action for pollution free effluent discharge system. In spite of having
very accurate and costly equipment and well-trained staff for analysis, many industries fail to
restrict the level of pollution in effluent to the required standard due to high level of errors and
limitations of manual sampling. Looking into the general need of various industries
INSTRUMENTS UNIVERSAL has developed AUTOMATIC INTERVAL SAMPLER, an import
substitute for reliable and accurate sampling of effluents, in year 1980.

Automatic Interval Samplers are designed to collect the effluent samples of required volume at
required intervals. We have developed full range of sampling systems, which starts from basic
composite sampler to advanced discrete sampling system with refrigeration and PC interfacing
software. We have designed and supplied different type of customer oriented sampling systems.
We have also supplied centralized sampling systems for collection of samples at one location
from different sampling points.

There are two basic types of samplers. IU 801 AP is a composite sampler to collect sample
from open channel, reservoir or open sump. IU 801 HP is a high-pressure version to collect the
samples from pressurized tank or discharge pipeline. These both are our widely accepted
models for general applications. Third type is a discrete sampler with 24 bottles to collect
different samples in separate bottles for 24 (or up to 96 Hours) hours. If the process is very
critical and effluent content variation is too high then descrete sampler is very useful. This
sampler is also useful for critical monitoring and research applications. All these models are
available with variations like refrigerated sample compartment, real time system, variable flow
rate, three-shift composite collection, or with computerized monitoring.

We have also supplied some custom oriented sampling systems. All samplers are user friendly
with the specifications to cater the general needs of Indian industries. The rugged design, gear
less low speed motor, polypropylene peristaltic pump with SS parts and pre lubricated sealed
bearings, the sampler is nearly maintenance free except changing the silicon peristaltic tube
which is a job of few minutes. In spite of sturdy and highly reliable design our unit costs nearly
Half the price compared to imported units.
 IU 801 AP is composite sampler. This sampler has
miniature peristaltic pump, low speed gearless motor,
power supply card, control & timing card and a 10 Ltr.
container housed in a sturdy powder coated encloser. This
sampler can collect the sample from open trench or
channels from the depth of 25 feet without any priming.
Sampling time of 1 to 12 minutes in step of one minute
and sampling cycle of 15,30,60,120 minutes with fixed
auto purging facility. This is our widely accepted model in
India and abroad.

IU 801 HP is composite sampler. This sampler

has High pressure stainless steel solenoid valve,
power supply card, control & timing card and a 10
Ltr. container housed in a sturdy powder coated
encloser It can collect effluent samples from
pressurized pipe or vessel up to 5Kg pressure or from
the vessel having very high head pressure. Sampling
time of 1 to 12 second in step of one second and
sampling cycle of 15,30,60,120 minutes.

IU 801 AP FP is It can collect the sample from open

trench / channels, even from the depth of 25 feet without
any sort of priming. Select sampling volume and sampling
cycle of 15,30,60 or 120 minutes. Auto purging systems. It
is a Flameproof version of model IU 801 AP. (First time in
India we got approval for flame proof sampler)

IU 802 APD is available for header and trench, with

optionally different sampling mode. It is an intelligent discrete 12/
24 sampler designed specially for collecting discrete samples of
effluent at pre-determined interval in individual bottles. This helps
precise monitoring of products / effluent at different time. You
can select no of samples / batch (up to 600), sample volume,
batch start time, batch end time, programmable Flow rate for
trench. (10 to 100 ml / minute in uniform & non uniform mode)
Auto purging systems.
 All above units are optionally available with refrigerated compartment for VOC,
COD/BOD requirement, Real time system, Variable flow rate, Flow proportional system,
Remote monitoring, or multi channel multipoint sampling or any other configuration as per
customer requirements. Above units can be supplied with battery operated systems with inbuilt
intelligent charging systems for better battery life.

Centralized multi point sampling system

The unit consists of two control systems IU 802 AP 1- 3
and IU 802 HP 3 - 3 refrigeration systems, 12 sample
container of 5 liter carboy, sample distribution solenoid vales,
sample flushing solenoid valves and peristaltic sampling pump
house temperature sensor for incoming sampling line, house
in a sturdy industrial M S box with powder coating cabinet and
Refrigeration compartment with in S S. It also designed with
the computer in RS 485 connectivity and software for
temperature data and parameter updating from computer.
The unit also has facility of homogenization of collected
sample.

IU 801 AP real time You

can select no of samples / batch (up to 100), sample
volume, batch start time, batch end time (real time based
user programmable). Also it has facility to take sample 8
sample on real time base. Auto purging systems.

IU 802 AP 1 – 3 with 1 line and 3 collection carboy of 5

liter each / batch i.e. shift wise collection of sample. You
can select no of samples / batch (up to 20), sample volume,
batch.

All above units can be supplied with different

flow mode as under.

1] Uniform Sampling Mode: In which you can get samples

on uniform time duration (user programmable) from batch
start time (user programmable) up to batch end time.
[2] Non Uniform Sampling Mode: In this mode you can take
samples at pre determine time (real time based user
programmable).
[3] Flow Proportional mode: In this mode sampling volume
is in proportion with flow. (Flow meter input required)
