Title : ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK ( ANN )
Abstract :
Neural networks approaches are becoming useful as an alternate way to
classical methods. As computation and learning paradigm, they are presented as a different
modeling approach to solve complicated problems. It has been used to solve complicated
practical problems in various areas ,such as engineering, medicine, business, manufacturing,
military etc. They have also been applied for modeling, identification, optimization, prediction,
forecasting, evaluation, classification, and control of complex systems. During the last three
decades, artificial neural network have been extensively employed in numerous fields of science
and technology. They are not programmed in the conventional procedure but they are trained
using data exemplifying the behaviour of a system. This study presents various applications of
neural networks used in wind energy systems. The applications of neural networks in wind
energy systems could be grouped in three major categories: forecasting and prediction, prediction
and control, identification and evaluation.
The aim of the study was to elaborate a method of modelling and forecasting
rheological features which could be applied to raw minced meat at the stage of mixture
preparation with a given ingredient composition. Statistical analysis of the results revealed, that
artificial neural network model is able to predict rheological parameters and thus a complete
texture profile of raw minced meat. Current forensic software relies upon accurate identification
of file types in order to determine which files contain potential evidence. However, current type
recognition mechanisms are susceptible to simple attacks that enable a criminal to confuse the
detection algorithm. This study investigated whether artificial neural networks were superior to
existing mechanisms at responding to modern evidence tampering techniques and concluded that
the tested neural networks were not better than the existing methods. However, the study yielded
avenues for future investigation.
