PROTECTION

Internal protection and external

protection should be provided in space
this is will be done to protect the lives
of humans from radiation.

RADIATION:
Radiation is energy travelling through
space.
Sunshine is one of the most familiar
forms of radiation. It delivers light,
heat and suntans. While enjoying and
depending on it, we control our
exposure to it.
Beyond ultraviolet radiation from the
sun are higher-energy kinds of
radiation which are used in medicine
and which we all get in low doses from
space, from the air, and from the earth
and rocks.

There are two types of radiations:

Ionising radiation
Non-ionising radiation.

IONISING RADIATION:

Ionizing radiation is radiation with

enough energy so that during an
interaction with an atom, it can
remove tightly bound electrons
from the orbit of an atom, causing
the atom to become charged or
ionized.

NON-IONIZING RADIATION:

Non-ionizing radiation refers to any

type of electromagnetic
radiation that does not carry
enough energy per quantum to
ionize atoms or moleculesthat is,
to completely remove

an electron from
an atom or molecule.
RADIATION PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY:
Radiation protection technology,
which is an element of radiologic
science, pertains to ensuring the
safety of people, the environment
and work places from the possible
effects of exposure to radiation.
