Helloallmyteammates,mynameisBiraspatiAdhikari.Iamseniorelectricalengineering
studentsatthePennsylvaniaStateUniversity.Iamverygoodatsolvingengineeringproblems
usingengineeringprinciples.Iamaveryactiveteamplayer.Iplaychessandpoolinmyleisure
time.Iamverycomfortableinteractingwithmycolleaguesandsupervisorsatalllevelofthe
organization.Ibelieveteamworkisfunandrewardingactivitiestoengagein.

Inmyperspective,teamwilldrivequalityoutcomesifeachandeverymembercontributed
equallytotheteam.Ihaveagreatexperiencesworkinginateam.Thissummer,Iamdoing
researchwiththeprofessoralongwithotherstudents,andIamleadingthestudentsteam.Iam
involvedinhighefficiencyphotovoltaicdesign.Mytaskistodesignthecomponentin
solidworks,andtoassistotherstudentswiththeirparts.Lastsummer,Ihavedoneresearchwith
differentprofessoraboutthegroundwavepropagation.SinceIwastheonlyonelicensedto
transmitthefile,Iwasassignedtoleadotherfellowstudentsworkingonthesameproject.
Besidestheacademic,IhadorganizedtheBhutanesestudentsatPennsylvaniaStateUniversity,
andestablishedanstudentorganizationin2014,andservedasPresidentoftheorganization.Asa
President,Ihadsupervisedalltheactivitiesoftheorganization,andprovidedthevisiontothe
organization.

Mybackgroundismymotivation.Formerly,Iwasarefugee,Ispent17yearsinrefugeecampin
Nepal,butIamproudtobeaUScitizennow.MybackgroundisamajorhighlightinmylifeasI
hadlearnedtoovercometheobstacles,andthriveinhardtimes.Iamworkinghardtoberole
modelinmycommunity.Iwouldliketoworkwithpeoplefromdifferentbackground.Iamvery
excitedtoworkwithyouallinthisclass.Ibelievecommunicationisverycrucialtoachievethe
teamgoalanddesiredoutcome.Ihopewewillenjoythegroupworkwewilldoforthisclass.I
