ePortfolio Reflection
Taking astronomy has definitely given me a broader view of how the
universe works. I feel like I really learned a lot: from the class, the science
journal, and the signature assignment.
Although I usually try not to study, I actually did study for this class. I
felt like a lot of the things I had learned about astronomy in the past
ended up being wrong or overly simplified. Im glad I took this class and the
record was set straight.
While taking astronomy, I was enrolled in a few other classes,
including anthropology. Although these two subjects are completely
different, I found it interesting that both subjects have (both historically and
in the present) some pretty hotly debated topics.
Overall, learning about astronomy was a good experience for me. I
want to keep reading about astronomy in the future, and hopefully this fall, I
can go somewhere with no light pollution and look up at the stars with new
knowledge.
