Reflection

Summer semester was fun. My English professor has taught me so much more about
writing then I already knew. I learned that writing a paper does not have to limit to a standard
five paragraph essay. It can have as many paragraphs as topics I talk about. I have also learned
what is a thesis statement, where and how to introduce it in my paper. When we had a Liberian
come to class one day, I have learned from her how to use the school library site to my fullest
needs. It was pretty interesting.
Throughout the research i had to do for my essays, I have learned so much about my
future job. I also have a better understanding how child welfare works in Hamilton County and
who is behind different titles at the Job and Family Services. I now have more and different
choices for my profession. And I have a better understanding of how child welfare is funded,
where the money is coming from and where it is applied. The choices that are made for those
funds some I agree and some I dont.
I have enjoyed my classmates and my teacher. Everyone was very polite and
understandable, helpful and compassionate. This was one of the best atmospheric classes I have
had so far. The professors positivity and helpfulness really took away a lot of stress. Even
though I misspelled my professors name on pretty much every paper, he still taught me many
new things about writing.
