MALALISON ISLAND DEVELOPMENT: ECO-TOURISM PROMOTION
THROUGH ETHNICITY AND CULTURE PRESERVATION
THESIS STATEMENT
Tourism activities had been occupying wider scopes in the past few
years, different activities had been offered and wide areas had been
developed but then it is widely observed that these activities deprived
ethnic ways of experiencing a tourist spot. The introduction of ethnicity
and culture preservation in the island of Malalison will help the livelihood
of the residents grow together with its tourism.
PROGRAM
The island of Malalison will promote eco-tourism and ethnicity through the
following activities:
Boating activities

SITE
Malalison island of Culasi is a 54-hectare wide tourism spot in
Antique, Philippines. It has sugar-refined white sand, hilly, and is often
quoted as the little batanes. It is an ideal site for eco-tourism
development for its existing ordinance of keeping the islands activities
and infrastructure development eco-friendly.
TECHNOLOGY
Utilization of indigenous and eco friendly materials. Implementation of
water treatments such as water desalination as well as water segregation
depending on its use.
