My brother
Hospital stayThe day
we found out that he had
the condition and
experienced his
symptoms for the first
time.

CAs are a cluster of blood vessels in the

brain that form a lesion. Blood vessels
contract and expand; when the cluster of
vessels expand, it may cause leakage
(bleeding) due to the lack of proper
junctions in the malformation. The bleeding
can cause an array of symptoms.

Symptoms & Patients

No symptoms present
Headache
Blurred Vision
Seizure
Stroke
Musculoskeletal deficits

This condition is typically passed

down through heredity. It is the
result of an altered dominant
gene. This gene affects the ability
of cells work together in providing
instructions to make the protein
that strengthens the interaction
between the cells that form the
vessels to prevent leakage.

While this condition is not an easy one to pick out, here are some
tips and tricks to help you determine if someone that may be
struggling with some sort of neurological deficit:

Watch their eyesare they rolling back in their head?

Facial expressionSome facial expressions can be identifiers to
neurological problems, my brother had this symptom.
Body languageThe body can tell you a lot. When something isnt
right neurologically, it is not uncommon for the muscles to have
some sort of malfunction as well.

definitely something wrong!
ConvulsionsIf you see this, you need to call for help!
