Michael Benjamin Bay is a film director who is mostly known for
making cinematic hits like Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, the Transformers
film series, and making the TV show, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
He is also recognized as the best Action/Adventure Directors of all
time. He was a camera operator and an actor for his films including
Armageddon, Bad Boys II, and one of the Transformers series. Now 51
years old with the height of 6 1, he is worth $65 million per year and
has a net worth of $430 million. His films were very popular for the
slow motion shots, explosion effects, and using light flashes, which
enhance scenes. Through this, he was able to keep his audiences on
the edge of their seats.
Michael Bays life started on the 17th of February 1965 in Los
Angeles, California, but was adopted by Jimmy Bay and Harriet Bay two
weeks later. From there, he was raised Jewish. He attended many
schools including Crossroads School and Pasadena's Art Center College
of Design. During this time, he interned with George Lucas to fill his
storyboard for Raiders of the Lost Ark. From that, he decided to
become a film director. He went to Wesleyan University to major in
English and Film. After graduating, he went to Art Center College of
Design for his graduate work.
After his school life, he was working on advertisements and
music videos in his 20s. The music videos he was making led him to
win multiple MTV Award Nominations. He helped Nike, Coca-Cola,
Reebok, Budweiser, and Miller Lite to make their advertisements, which
led him to win the Grand Prix Clio for Commercial

Gold Lion for The Best Beer Campaign for Miller Lite and Silver for his
Got Milk commercial. The Directors Guild of America honored him as
the Commercial Director of the Year, which was the same year when he
shot his first film, Bad Boys starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
His next film, The Rock starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, was
hugely successful, making him the director of the day.
Throughout his whole career, he continued on making movies
that resulted for him to be very successful. One of them included Pearl
Harbor which was released on Memorial Day, starring Ben Affleck,
Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, and Cuba Gooding, Jr. He had also
remade the film, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre with his fellow
producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form in 2001. In his fifth
collaboration, he worked with Jerry Bruckheimer and brought back Will
Smith and Martin Lawrence to make Bad Boys II that grossed almost
twice as much as the first movie. When directing The Island starring
Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson, it cost $126 million to produce,
but he earned $172 million worldwide. When Transformers: Revenge
of the Fallen was released, even though there were a lot of negative
reviews from the critics, the movie grossed over $832 million
worldwide
There was some of his works in which was a major part of his life.
One of them included directing Armageddon. Directing it with Jerry
Bruckheimer, it grossed over $553 million worldwide. He also worked
with Scott Gardenhour to form The Institute for the Development of
Enhanced Perceptual Awareness to produce commercials and other
project. From there, he directed and produced commercials for Nike,
Budweiser, Victorias Secret, Lexus, and Reebok. Also, in 27, he worked
with Steven Spielberg to produce Transformers that earned over
$319 million domestically and over $708 million worldwide.
To this very day, Bays past life still remains a mystery. He
claimed that he was the child of a popular 1970s director John
Frankenheimer, but DNA test denied it. He is still single while living in
Miami, Florida. He has 3 dogs; 2 English mastiffs

that are named Bonecrusher and Grace, and a bullmastiff named
Mason, who appeared in the film Transformers.
In conclusion, Michael Bay is a very successful as a director and
a producer. He is now producing another Transformers film called
Transformers: The Last Knight which is expected to be released in the
year 2017. Even though Bay faced some negativity for some of his
films, he had still continued on making movies for his viewers. Overall,
he will continue on to be very successful and will live a rich life.
