The first conflict arose between Coach Karter and the team when Coach Karter wanted the

team
to sign a contract stating that each player will maintain a minimum 2.3 GPA in academics apart
from doing good in sports and asked the players to maintain discipline. Various structural factors
like goal difference as well as personal factors such as difference in personalities, difference
in values and ethics, perceptions difference, cultural difference etc. were the reason behind
this conflict. This was an intragroup conflict as both coach and players were from the same team
