Executive Summary
For this assignment our group #3 worked together to answer the question, Which college
should she transfer to after finishing her degree at SLCC? As a group we first collaborated on
google hangouts, as this would allow all members to be included in the conversation.

As we discussed all of the options in front of the girl for her final decision, we were able
to pinpoint the four major challenges in front of her. The first problem she needed to look into is
which school she wanted to attend. She needed to look for a university that has a law program
that is nearby, and that has a program that will accept a 3.5 GPA. The schools criteria of
acceptance would need to allow a 3.5 GPA to still be competitive. The next problem she would
face is the price of tuition. The lady in our scenario plans on working, and is paying for school by
herself. The final problem is she will need to consider the distance of the school in which she
will want to attend, from her home.

Once we had narrowed down the major problems, we began researching the issue. We
visited Deweys Reflective Thinking Sequence video and information from our textbook, to help
guide our meetings and research. We found multiple schools within a 300-mile radius that would
meet the needed criteria. We broke down the schools by cost, location and law school reputation.
We concluded that Brigham Young University would be the top choice. Living in Utah would
allow her to pay resident tuition, and she would be close to home. Our lady may be able to keep
her current job, and attend school. BYU has a reputable law program, and a 3.5 GPA would still
allow her to be competitive.
