MODIFICATIONS/ACCOMODATIONS (based on my personal IPG nutritional lesson)
Quantity
1 day food log instead of 3 days
Limit to 1 closing activity instead of 2 (journal or quiz, not both)
Reduce total number of HOTQ, keep most significant (1 or 2, instead of 3)
Time
Increase amount of time for assignment submission
Allow for lunch tutorials, teacher to student 1:1 to increase understanding
Only propose 1 assignment at a time, decrease multi-tasking
Level of Support
Allow for tutorials before/after school, lunch, or during conference (pending student
availability)
Schedule consultation with a Registered Dietician to discuss content with student
Allow ample time to student to ask questions
Input
Provide alternative (multiple) outside resources
Arrange job shadowing with a local Registered Dietician
Allow time for student to absorb material (personal input) with individualized
research plan
Difficulty
Utilize MyFitnessPal app features to create diagrams, instead of Excel
Limit to 1 HOTQ instead of 3
Arrange time for student to discuss assignment with qualified professionals
Output
Reduce homework requirement by eliminating the letter to the coach
Reduce closing by only requiring the journal reflection, not the true/false exit quiz

During tutorials, offer 1:1 discussion to check comprehension/understanding of
nutritional content
Participation
Do not require discussion as a component of the grade, allow free communication to
increase understanding
Provide an alternative assignment/project
Allow student to develop independent application of leaned knowledge
