THREAD COMPARISON CHART

Moulded threads approximate to Class 6g/6H

for metric parts and 2A/2B for unified parts.
Screws are moulded in tools which part along
the length of the screw and it is not possible to
guarantee production of perfectly round
threads. In addition nylon will absorb moisture
causing changes in screw thread dimensions.
For these reasons it is not possible to guarantee
threads on standard parts to tolerances usually
applied to metal threads. Customers are
advised to evaluate samples before placing
production orders.
