Netflix is an American multinational entertainment company.

Reed Hastings pictured the

business model and Marc Rudolph, along with two software engineers, founded Netflix on
August 29, 1997 in Scotts Valley, California. It mainly deals with providing online streaming
media based on user subscription and physical distribution of DVDs on sale or rentals. Recently,
it invested hugely in original content production. Having expanded its coverage in 190 countries
and produced a lot of original TV shows and movies, its net profit margin is slowly growing. As
of July 2016, 83 million users have been reported worldwide which includes 47 million
subscribers from US alone.
