What will my child be learning?

World history, geography,

and cultures until 1600. Topics include religions/belief systems,
ancient civilizations, the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Reformation,
exploration, and etc.

Where will my child be learning all this amazing

information? Across the globe!! But really St. James Middle
School room A6 and home.

When will the learning take place? 2016-2017; 1 , 2

Why study history? History Helps Us Understand Change and

How the Society We Live in Came to Be The second reason history is
inescapable as a subject of serious study follows closely on the first.
The past causes the present, and so the future- American Historical

How will my child learn? Kagan (cooperate group work)

activities, primary source analysis, individual projects, awesome
iPad activities, lecture, discussion, virtual field trips, etc.
