A role of government is to set certain regulations on food and medicine
to make sure that it is safe for consumers. Agencies such as the FDA are in place to make sure that consumer products are safe. It is important that these agencies are in place so that consumers are not taking harmful medicines or foods that could be toxic to them. Establish Justice: It is the governments job to make sure that people receive justice under the law. The judicial branch is a huge part in this because the ensure that anyone accused of a crime gets a fair an equal trial. On the other side of that, anyone who had a crime committed against them gets justice for what happened to them. Some key figures would be the Supreme Court justices because they oversee the highest cases. It is important to maintain justice so we maintain equality.
Insure Domestic Tranquility:
Insuring domestic tranquility is basically keeping the peace within the nation. This is important to keep everyone safe. If there are constant riots and fights breaking out, then the citizens are in danger. A main part of the government involved is the execute branch. More specifically the police force because they enforce the laws to keep people safe.
Provide for the Common Defense:
Providing for the common defense is handled by our military and the President himself since he is the Commander in Chief. It is important that we have a military maintained to protect us from any outside aggression.
Promote the General Welfare:
This incorporates all 3 branches of the government. It means that the citizens are treated fair and right by the government. The legislative branch is there to make laws to protect people, not oppress them. The executive branch makes sure that these laws are followed correctly. Finally, if these laws are not followed correctly, the judicial branch is there to ensure that justice is served and criminals are punished. Secure the Blessings of Liberty: Securing the blessings of liberty is a job that requires help from all 3 branches of the government. The legislative branch is in place to ensure that fair laws are passed that to no trample on peoples rights such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The executive branch is in place to ensure that citizens do not trample on other citizens rights. The judicial branch is there to make sure the government does not trample on citizens rights through Supreme Court cases to decide if laws are constitutional or not.
