Introduction

Institute of Advanced Communication, Education and Research (IACER) is

an academic institute committed to providing an interdisciplinary academic
experience that transforms students to be a mature researcher-scholar and
equips them for a lifetime of learning. The institute offers students the
concepts and tools required to engage with issues of local and global concern.
IACER stimulates the students' intellectual curiosities and challenge them to
explore new avenues of thought.
As a center for academia, IACER is devoted to excellence in writing and
research, teaching and learning to help students push the boundaries of
knowledge so that they enable themselves in highly competitive world of
professionalism.
In IACER, the renowned deconstructionist scholar, theorist and critic, who is
also considered as one of the most influential postcolonial intellectuals, Prof.
Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak has been visiting since 2011. She is now
engaged with IACER faculty and students on rethinking South Asian Studies
project. She visits the institute every year and works with academicians from
Nepal and America.
To take this privilege and opportunity of working with and learning from this
teacher to the next level, this team of researchers from IACER feels fortunate
to create The Spivak Corner. It is an online database launched by IACER
students and faculty to collect and disseminate Spivak's works for students.
The Corner has Prof. Spivak's lectures, journal articles, and books open to as
many learners-researchers-scholars as possible. After a substantial number of
materials, from 2017 onwards, The Corner aims at creating a blog to invite
students to engage in dialogues and discussions on theory and criticism.
Any sorts of constructive suggestions are highly appreciated.
