Nowadays, people are more hedonistic than before.

Being rich and being can

fantastic in front of people are now a mainstream dream. This leads people to value
a person only by social status and material possessions. I strongly disagree with
that. The old-fashioned value, such as honour, kindness and trust is more important
than that. The ridiculous argument to see a persons worth based on the money and
status is not fair, and only make bad social impact and division in our society.
There is no one in the world wants to be born on a poor condition which no one can
choose in which family that they are born. People also need to work hard to get
more money to become rich. Being raised in an upper social status family is a gift
that not everyone can have. When a person is valued only based on wealth and
social status, that valuation is unfair. Its biased way to see a person, take a look at
Andrea Hirata, a famous Indonesian writer from Belitung that can make his journey
until France and have great novels. He became a great person because of his effort
not based on his money. When he was a child, people looked down on him to since
he was a poor student that come from a small village in Belitung
Judging a person not based on their true value only make a bad social impact in
society which make some division. For example, there is kasta in Bali, Kasta
separate people based on their class. A person will be get more respect if he was
born in rich family. Even there is not possible for poor people being a governor.
To conclude, I disagree if judging a person only based on social status or material
possession.
