Export Form E

Definition of Form E in Pakistan and its usage


Form E declares the Foreign Exchange arrival against the Exported Shipment
In Pakistan Form E or E Form stands for Export Form which is issued by the Bank at
the time of export to client. Its a declaration that this export is being processed against
the foreign exchange either it has arrived in the exporting country or is contracted to
arrive after shipment maturity. Form -E is issued to the shipper from his dealing bank
and Bank also provide him the following supporting documents to obtain bill of lading
from the shipping carriers; Normally the payment is released to the shipper or exporter
when the Bill of Lading or Airway bill is issued for the goods being exported.

NOC: No Objection Certificate (NOC) is issued when the shipment is being


exported against 100% payment in advance and bank issue this NOC to shipper to
consign the shipment directly to consignee.

C&F Certificate: This certificate is issued when the shipment is processed on
the basis of C&F incoterm.
3. B/L Issuing Authority Letter: This certificate is issued when the shipment has to move
By Sea. In case of By Air export shipment; this certificate is not issued.

The Model Customs Collectorate, Exports has made submission of ''Form-E'' mandatory
for all exports, certified by authorized foreign exchange dealers. According to circular
1/2014, all exports from Pakistan are subject to submission of ''Form-E'' duly certified by
the authorized dealer of foreign exchange at the time of filing the Goods Declarations
(GDs) for export.
The circular said submission of certified ''Form-E'' was not being complied in letter and
spirit and instances of fake ''Form-E'' numbers indicated on online GDs had come to the
notice which was liable for a stern legal action. Moreover, non-submission of ''Form-E''
created problems in reconciliation with banks. Therefore, it is reiterated for the
information and guidance of exporters as well as their clearing agents that uploading of
''Form-E'' duly certified by commercial banks of the exporter is a mandatory requirement
for online filing of GDs for export. The hard copy of ''Form-E'' should be submitted with
the respective export terminal operator without fail. It also warned that all exporters
were advised to adhere to these instructions for seamless exports and expeditious duty
drawback payments.
