4th Grade Discipline Policy

Students are expected to follow the four basic school rules, (Respect yourself,
others, authority, and property) as well as the school dress code. If any of these
are broken your child will be given an infraction. After the third infraction, your
child will have to stay for an after school detention from 3:00pm to 3:45 pm, on a
day selected by the teacher.
If an infraction is written for your child, it will be stapled in their planner for you
to sign, and return the next day. It will state what they were given the infraction
for, and what infraction number it is, so that you can stay on top of any behavioral
matters that are occurring at school.
Infractions may be given by any teacher, administrator, or staff member who is in
contact with your child. Infractions start fresh at the beginning of each quarter.
Infraction Consequences:
1st Infraction- warning
2nd Infraction- loss of break
3rd Infraction- After school detention
4 or more Infractions- Consequence to be determined by the teacher or
principal.
* Students may have other consequences in addition to those listed above.
*If a student is placed on In-House or At Home Suspension, their work will
receive no more than 50% of the assignments overall value.
Materials Penalties:
Beginning in the second quarter students who come to class without the needed
materials for that given class will earn 3 minutes on the line at recess per missing
supply.
