: ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF MEMBERSHIP IN GOOD STANDING (CoMGS)

The Board of Accountancy (BOA) Resolution 3-2016, which was issued last January 24, 2016, specifically requires
submission of CoMGS from the current Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) for the accountancy
profession.
For uniformity, the procedures on the issuance of Certificate of Membership in Good Standing is enclosed for the
guidance of everyone.
Further, you are also enjoined to observe the following:
1.

All chapters who will issue CoMGS to individual members shall provide a verifiable list to PICPA
National Office which shall have the oversight function to evaluate the CoMGS. (Reference: SBM
Resolution no. 2015-2016 10-03). Such list is also submitted to the Board of Accountancy. This list shall
be submitted together with the Chapters Monitoring Sheet with the following template:

Verifiable/Authenticated document (with Global Codes) will be provided by Doxcheck (development of

program is ongoing), as approved by the EXECOM in its meeting of January 15, 2016, ratified by the
board in its meeting of March 22, 2016. Hence, only one document will be issued to a member every
year.
Annex A is also provided as an example of issued CoMGS.
For easy identification of the issuing Chapter, specific control number shall be used (refer to Annex B)
