A pacemaker provides a 1 mA pulse with a duration of 1 ms so the total charge for

one pulse is= 1mAX1ms= 1uA-s, (but, A-s is actually Coulomb)so charge is 1 C.
The number of pulses per year at one per second is 60 60 24 365 =
31,536,000.
Over the 10 year life of the pacemaker, the charge drawn from the battery is 1 C
31,536,000 10 = 315 C = 315 As = 0.087 Ah.
This is a small portion of the total battery life of 1 Ah. only 8.7% of the battery life
