Sausage Doria

Serve 2 (using 15x5 cm bowl)

White sauce
35g ................................. Butter
25g ................................. All purpose flour
300ml ............................ Whole milk
......................................... Salt, pepper to taste
......................................... A pinch of sugar
Filling and topping
5 pieces .......................... Sausages
1recipe ............................... Cooked Japanese rice (or other kinds of short grain rice)
1/4 ..................................... Onion, cut into small dices
70g ..................................... Mushroom, cut into small pieces (I use champion)
1/2 ..................................... Tomato, cut into small dices
10g ..................................... Butter, melted
............................................ Salt, pepper
50g .................................... Mozzarella cheese, grated

Making white sauce:


Put the butter and flour into a microwavable bowl, and heat at high (900w) for 45 seconds.
Take the bowl out of the microwave and whisk until combine, then pour the milk into the bowl, stir until
combine.
Heat at high (900w) for 2 minutes, and take the bowl out of the microwave and whisk until combine,
season with sugar, salt and pepper.

Heat at high (900w) for another 1.30 minutes, take the bowl out of the microwave and whisk again, the
mixture will be thick.

Cut 2 pieces of sausage into a small pieces, and score the rest.
Put the butter and onion in microwavable bowl, stir until combine and heat at high (900w) for 2 minutes.
Put the tomato pieces, mushroom, and sausages into the bowl stir until combine and heat at high (900w)
for 2 minutes.

Reserve 1/3 of the white sauce for topping.


Mix the rest of the white sauce with the cooked rice and other ingredients, stir until fully combine, season
with salt and pepper.
Put the rice mixture into the dish, place the sausage on top of the rice, cover with the reserved white
sauce, and sprinkle with the grated Mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 200 C for 10 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
