Story: Pope John Paul II

I remember when I was 12 years old, on 10 May 1990, Pope John Paul II visited for the
second time the city of Monterrey. I went with my parents, brothers and sisters to
Santa Catarina River in downtown Monterrey. It was a day with sunny weather.
All day we were waiting for the arrival of Pope John Paul II who came to the afternoon
of that day. He toured by car and all the people shouted and applauded as he passed
by.
The pope said a message to workers throughout Mexico and especially mothers
because that day was celebrated Mother's Day in Mexico. Pope John Paul II visited
twice the city of Monterrey and always met many people who were happy to receive to
him.
