Step 1 Linux Partition

1. Maximum partitions per each hard disk

16 partitions total on an SCSI disk

63 total on an IDE disk

2. Partition Types
a. Primary Partition

Maximum 4 partitions
b. Extended Partition
contain logical partition
one extended partition
c. Logical Partition
in case of need over 4 partitions
start from number 5 ex) /dev/sda5, /dev/hda5
belong to Extended partition
