Paper Bag Book Report

You will be completing a paper bag book report as an assessment

for your independent reading book. For this report, you must
consider the 5 story elements (setting, characters, plot, conflict,
and theme) and vocabulary. You will also deliver an oral
presentation about your book to the class. Don't forget to write
your name on the bottom of your bag!
There are four panels on your paper bag. You will be
expected to dedicate one panel of your paper bag to the
following elements:
FRONT PANEL
Book Cover: Using the original front cover of your chosen book,
the entire book, and your own creativity, you will re-create a NEW
book cover that illustrates the THEME of your book.
SIDE PANEL 1
Story Elements: After reading your chosen book, record the
details about each story element (characters, setting, plot,
conflict, theme)
SIDE PANEL 2
Vocabulary: Identify and define words from your chosen book that
are key in understanding your book.
BACK PANEL
Summary: After reading your chosen book, write a summary of
the story.
