Embedding Fonts in Microsoft PowerPoint Slides

Applies to Microsoft Office 2007 and higher version


1. Open the powerpoint file, click on ' PowerPoint Options' under Microsoft Office Button

2. Click on 'Save' in the resulting dialog box.

3. Check the option 'Embed fonts in the file' and click 'OK' to display the fonts and print correctly
when the file is opened on other machines.

Follow the same procedure to embed fonts in Microsoft Word documents. To make sure the fonts
are embedded in the file, try opening the files on other machines in which the fonts are not
installed.

Compressing Images in PowerPoint Slides to Reduce File Size


Applies to Microsoft Office 2007 and higher version
1. Select a picture or photograph inserted in the slide, and click on the ' Format' tab under 'Picture
Tools.'

2. Click on 'Compress Pictures'

3. And click on 'Options'

4. Select the option Screen (150 ppi): good for Web pages and projectors under 'Target output'
and click 'OK'.

1. Open the powerpoint file, and click Save As... option on the File menu.

2. Select Save Options... on the Tools menu.

3. Check the option 'Embed TrueType Fonts' and click 'OK' to display the fonts and print correctly
when the file is opened on other machines.

Applies to Microsoft Office 2003
1. Open the powerpoint file, click Save As... option on the File menu, and select Compress
Pictures on the Tools menu.

2. Select the option Web/Screen under 'Change resolution' and click 'OK'.
