Introduction

Thecoverupruleisafastertechniqueinfindingconstantsinpartialfraction.We
assumethatthereaderalreadyknowssomeelementarymethodsofbreakingarational
functionintoitsappropriatepartialfraction.

Wecanonlyapplythecoveruprulewhenthedenominatorisaproductoflinearfactors.

Considerthepartialfraction

ToobtainAsimplycoverupthefactor(x1)withyoufingertipin
