Kafta

1 to 1 lbs. ground meat (beef, lamb, chicken or venison)


1 medium onion, grated
cup chopped fresh parsley
tsp. salt
tsp. each: cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper
1/8 tsp. cloves
Mix all ingredients and form into flat (1/4 to 3/8 inch thick) oblong patties. (If meat is
not fatty, spray or baste with olive oil.) Broil until browned both sides.
Serve with bread, humus and garlic sauce.
