Dear Parents and Family Members,
Welcome to the 5th grade! Following is a list of school supplies that your child will need for the year. Some
of these items will be used only by your child, while other items will be shared with the class.

6 pocket folders
6 wide rule marble composition notebooks (no ring/spiral notebooks, please)
3 packs of wide rule lined white paper (to share at school)
3 packs of blank white printer paper (to share at school)
1 pack of wide rule lined colored paper (to share at school any color except white)
10 pads of 3 inch by 3 inch Post-its (to share at school)
#2 pencils (as many as your child needs your child MUST start each day with 2 pencils)
Blue OR black pens (as many as your child needs your child MUST start each day with a pen)
Red AND green colored pens for revising papers
1 pack of dry erase markers (to share at school)
1 small box of crayons OR colored pencils OR markers (to keep at home for homework)
1 small box of markers (to share at school)
Erasers (as many as your child needs)
12 inch ruler (wooden or heavy plastic) one that has BOTH inch and centimeter markings
1 pair of scissors
1 small, covered pencil sharpener
1 glue stick (to share at school no liquid glue, please)
3 boxes of Kleenex (to share at school)
3 rolls of paper towels (to share at school)
1 bottle of liquid hand soap (to share at school)
Home of the Brave (the book by Katherine Applegate available online for about $7 and at the library)
The Thief of Always (the book by Clive Barker available online for about $7 and at the library)
