Weekly News
Dear Parents,
The first few weeks of school have been wonderful!
Just as a reminder for homework, each night students will be responsible to practice
spelling (they will have up to 10 words to practice, based on their pre-test; their
words can be found in their planner), 30 minutes of reading, and any unfinished
math (if they miss more than 80% of the problems on a math assignment they will
bring it back home the next night to correct mistakes). Please be sure to look at
your childs planner each night with them and then sign it at the end of the week to
make sure they are completing all of their assignments; their planner pages will be
turned in once a week for points. You can always check their grades and/or missing
assignments by logging in on Aspire (from the Nebo district homepage), and
missing assignment reports will come home each Tuesday.
Thank you again for all of your help and support, it has been a delight to teach your
children!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Thank You!

Curriculum
In Math this week we are working on our Place Value unit. We have been looking at
whole numbers up to the billions period and decimals down to the thousandths. We
have been talking about the value of a digit and comparing and ordering numbers.
We are planning to have our test on Place Value at the end of next week.
In Social Studies we are working on state reports/presentations. You can see your
childs work on their presentation by having them login to their school email and
looking under their drive.
