Funerals
A Funeral is a ceremony held after a persons
death

Canal
A Canal is a waterway used for boats to get to
different areas.

Symbols
A Symbols is a mark or character of some sort
used to represent or define something.

Cipher
A secret, unique way of writing something, like a
code.

Hieratic
Hieratic is a priestly writing system used in Egypt.

Rosetta Stone
The Rosetta Stone is a stone
that was found in 1799, it has
egyptian hieroglyphics on it.

Hieroglyphics
Lots of symbols and writing, like a different
language.

Tomb
A big room, where people keep the dead. There
were tombs in pyramids.

Pyramid
A shape with a base and a sides that meet at the
top. These were built in Egypt, they had tombs
inside.

Sacrifices
Giving up something or killing someone as an
offering for something in return.

Pharaoh
The Pharaoh was the leader of the Egyptian
people, the Pharaoh was the ruler of the upper
and lower Egypt.

Demotic
Relating to the kind of language used by normal
people.

Monument
A statue or type of building, built to remember
someone or an event.

Irrigate
Supply water to crops to help growth, usually by
using channels.

Medicine
A treatment for the prevention of a disease, it is
either a pill or a liquid.
