Indigenous People of the Americas Report

We have been studying Indigenous Peoples of the Americas in social

studies. We have looked at different Ancient American civilizations
and how they adapted to different places. Now we are studying
Native American cultures. So instead of lecturing and just taking a
test. Students will inquire, research, discover and teach their
classmates.

Students will work in teams of two (only to research a group)

They will pick an Indigenous group of people to research together in class
Each student will write their OWN report on the group
They will create a rubric as a class, and use it to grade their reports
Students can use books, encyclopedias and websites to research
Students need to use 2 to 3 sources when researching
Students will be given time in class during rotations
