NOTIFICATION

Amendment to the Notification Rc.No.202/R&T/Rect.2/2016,dated:22-07-2016


In the above Notification,dated:22-7-2016, in Para-10(B)(a)(1)(i) at Page-6, it was stated
that a person who is a local to Andhra Pradesh State and also working in Andhra Pradesh
Police Department as on the date of Notification, has been on duty as Home Guard for a
minimum duration of 360 days within a period of two years and who is still continuing his
service as Home Guard, must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the
age of 30 years on 1st July, 2016 i.e., must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1986 and not
later than 1st July, 1998.
Further, it was also stated that at page-7 of the said Notification, the age relaxation for
the post Code Nos.21 & 22, the upper age limit prescribed in para-10(B)(b)(1)(i), above will be
relaxed as under:The upper age limit upto a maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to Backward Class or
a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
As per the A.P. Police(SCT) Rules,1999 issued vide G.O.Ms.No.315, Home(Pol.C)
Dept.,dt:13-10-1999 and its amendment issued vide G.O.Ms,No.97, Home (Legal.II)Dept.,
dt:1-5-2006, it was ordered that The qualifications (Academic , Age & Physical Standards) for
various categories included in these rules shall be specified in the Annexure-I appended to
these rules. The upper age limit prescribed under clauses (b) and (c) of sub-rule(1) of Rule-12 of
Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules,1999 shall apply.
Hence, the upper age limit prescribed has to be relaxed up to a maximum of 5 years,
if a candidate belongs to a Backward Class or a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe, in respect
of Home Guards for Post Code Nos.21 & 22.
In view of the above, following amendment is given for the Notification issued in
Rc.No.202/R&T/Rect.2/2016, dated: 22-07-2016.
AMENDMENT
In the said Notification, under Para-10(B) (b) (1) the following is added
The upper age limit prescribed in Para-10 (B) (a) (1) (i) will be relaxed up to a maximum
of five years if a candidate belongs to Backward Class or a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled
Tribe.
