    Crimes Under the RPC and Special Laws That Can Be Aggravated by the Use of a Computer

    It has been said that legislation in the Philippines is slow compared to the ever-evolving nature of
    technology, more specifically, information technology or IT. While that may indeed be true, a landmark
    legislation was passed by Congress that has significantly moved Philippine penal laws to the digital
    age. That law is the Cyber-Crime Prevention Act or Republic Act 10175 (Cyber-Crime Law). This
