Understanding a science essay
Antibiotic treatment disrupts a persons normal balance of gut
bacteria. The disruption leads to gut infection by the increase of
bacterium Clostridium and reduce of bacteria associated with a
healthy gut microbiome, such as Bacteroides, Clostridium coccoides,
Clostridium leptum, Prevotella, Bifidobacteria and Desulfovibrio. The
increase of the Clostridum difficile bacterial leads to infection that
causes diarrhea and fever.

Some physicians treat Clostridium difficile infections by the fecal

transplants. They use donor faces filled with healthy microbes. Then,
they deliver it via enemas, colonoscopies or nasal tubes that run
directly to the infected gut.
