condition
A highsafety factor for lines is based upon the large number of operations
to which they arelikely to be subjected.
A low safety factor may be acceptable for anchor holding power, since the
anchoring systems is permanently controlled

safety factors for temporary anchoring systems

the factors that make a distinction for applicable between safety factors
1. the anchor line, consisting of a wire rope or chain
2. the holding power of the anchor.

MARINE GROWTH
Marine growth positioned on depth 5 m its was by considering that marine growth with thickness 75 mm.
marine growth was occurs in the splash zone to the anchor point of the mooring chains in the mooring
system. The marine growth was accounted for in the system by increasing the weight of the mooring line
segment, and increasing the drag coefficients. The density of the marine growth was conservatively
assumed to be 74 kg/m3. The increase in the line segment and the increase in drag coefficient were
calculated based on the following expression.
