Chapter One
Embark and Hyaember were laughing loudly as they stalked back to their alleyway.
Did you see the expression of that one guy? Embark yipped. The one next to the Charmander?
Hyaember looked at him. I dont know, but Im sure it was good.
One of them said, Guys, did you see that? and then I blasted him so far Im sure he went to the moon.
Hyaember laughed. Wonder what theyll say to their leaders.
Well, theyve never seen us before, Embark pointed out. Or, at least, in this city, I guess. He paused
for a moment. Thats actually a good point.
Hyaember snorted. Dont worry about it. They cant get near us even if we wanted them to.
Embark nodded slowly, still a little unsure.
When they arrived at at their alleyway, Embark was surprised to find that the dumpster was gone.
What happened? he asked, then looked at Hyaemeber.
Hyaembers face was blank.
Embark looked ahead. On top of the back fence was a black shape. Something growled. It hopped
down. What is that? Embark whispered.
I am Skelecat, it hissed, crouched down. Behind it, a smaller form, mewed, And Im Tunakit!
Be quiet, Skelecat growled, then stalked into view. It was black and resembled a cat, with skeleton
hints all over its body, and a tail that looked like a fish bone.
It snarled, then pounced forward, pinning Embark, its foul breath breathing onto him. He wrinkled his
nose, then let his tail burn the Skelecat. It yowled, then hopped off, shaking away the fire. Hyaember studied it,
guessing it was ghost, maybe had a hint of normal. Well, he was fire and dark, so he had the advantage.
He used bite on it, then used feint attack. He hit the cat away.
Skelecat used screech, then forced on night shade.
Embark used fire fang, and Tunakit leapt out and used shadow ball on Embark, defending its older
evolution, as Embark defended his. The older evolutions fought each other, protecting the younger ones from
the other.
It was a huge battle, and finally, a huge BOOM echoed through the alleyway. They all looked up to a
huge floating Pokemon, glaring angrily down at them.
