Sonnet153tellsanengagingstoryaboutCupidandhisfirethatcontainslove,usingmany
differenttypesofcolorfuldiction.InthefourlinesWilliamShakespearewritesofwhenCupidfallsasleep
nexttohistorchamaidofDiansstealsthelovekindlingfireandputsitinacoldvalleyfountain
ofthatground.Thesefourlinesencloseeyecatchingdictionbetweenthelovekindlingfireandthe
coldvalleyfountainthereaderofthissonnetisdrawntocontinuereading.Thefollowingfourlines
