488843 - WIP calculation:error message KJ120

Symptom
You want to determine work in process at actual costs for an order with settleme
nt by period. This is then also prevented as of Release 4.6B with the error mess
age KJ120 (No WIP at actual costs allowed with Product Cost by Period) if you do
not carry out a variance calculation for the order. However, this was possible
before Release 4.6B.

Reason and Prerequisites

Solution
To be able to further process orders with WIP at actual costs with settlement by
period started in previous releases, carry out the modification described in th
e attached correction instructions. The standard R/3 system does not contain thi
s modification. It is still not possible for you to calculate WIP at actual cost
s with settlement by period and to simultaneously calculate variances.
