11.4 COM card

INDICATORS:
Green indicator: Power present
Yellow ACT indicator: Flashing card active
Yellow RX indicator: On physical layer active on
both sides of the link:
Synchronisation OK
Green B1 indicator: On during communications
channel B1 occupied
Green B2 indicator: On during communications
channel B2 occupied

Description:
The COMS card gives the possibility of having a S0
or T0 type phone connection.
This type of link carries 1 signal channel (D) and 2
phone channels 'B).
This card is therefore adapted to a small network
wishing to limit resources dedicated to phone
communications (max. 2) and the cost of the access
to the phone network.

The T0 or S0 access is processed in compliance with

the VN4 and VN5 specifications of the EURO-RNIS
network

11.5 COM3 card

INDICATORS:
Green indicator:5V present
Yellow ACT indicator: slow flashing
*Cyclic ON/OFF ratio: 50% Card operating in direction A of a ring network
*Cyclic ON/OFF ratio: 25%
Card operating in direction B of a ring network
Yellow RXA indicator: On. If link (G703, V11) connected in direction A of a ring or
star network
Red ERRA indicator: Always off
Yellow RXB indicator: on. If link (G703, V11) connected in direction B of a ring or
star network
Red ERRB indicator: Always off

Description:
Management of the G703/V11 link between two sets
The 'act' indicator located on the front face:
Does not light if a local problem is detected on the card.
Flashes at about 3 Hz if the card is operational but is not controlled by the CPU
card.
Flashes at about 1 Hz if the card is operating under the control of the CPU card.

G703 Use:
The card permanently transmits on the two G703 junctions; The signals received on
these junctions are analysed and the indicators on the front face show the state of these
junctions:
'ERR indicator: red indicator lighting when a line error is detected on the
junction or if there is no 2Mb/s signal (disconnection for example).
Yellow 'Rx indicator: flashes when a G704 synchronisation is detected; stays
on when a synchronisation is detected and the link with the switch is
established.

11.6 DCTR card

INDICATORS:
ALIM indicator: 5V present
Yellow ACT indicator: One second flashes
Yellow MFR indicator: On (CTR3)
Red rouges D1, D2 , D3 indicators:
Off if BS inactive
Fast flashes during communication
D1, D2: received field level
D3: decoding of received radio frames
PLL indicators: indicates that both PLLs are in slave
mode

11.7 SUPIP card

INDICATORS:
Green indicator: Power present
Yellow ACT indicator: slow flashing
Red INT indicator: fast flashing (PC interruption)
Description
This card is unique in a switch, it is similar to a CPU card. Its
role is to ensure the mixing of the phone channels and the
interfacing of IP dispatching.
Only the connection port to a local network is used; it only
conveys voice over IP traffic for dispatching.

11.8 UCM card

INDICATORS:
1 Red led indicating power supply
2 Yellow led (EF/) indicating arrival of
3 Yellow led (ALC) indicating that power regulation is active
and corresponds to the set point. If this led flashes it indicates that
it is at the limit of losing slave mode In this state, the status
transmitted to the CPU card is ALC off.
4 Yellow led (COR) indicating that linearity regulation is active
5 Yellow led (PLL) indicates that both PLLs are in slave mode
6 Red led (CTX) indicates that transmission power is activated
Test button:
6 The continuous activation of this button produces a
Tetra modulation composed only of '1's. The result is a
carrier at frequency F0 + 2.25 kHz.
7 Pushing and releasing this button 3 times in a row
resets the card. The microcontroller and the Xilinx are
reset.

11.9 UCM2 card

INDICATORS:
1. Green led indicating power supply
2. 28V Led indicating that the PA is supplied
3.
Red led (CTX) indicates that transmission power is
activated
4. Yellow led (PLL) indicates that both PLLs are in slave
mode
5. Yellow led (IO) indicating that the card is receiving data
from the CPUBDT card
6. Yellow led (ALC) indicating that power regulation is active
and corresponds to the set point. If this led flashes it
indicates that it is at the limit of losing slave mode In this
state, the status transmitted to the CPU card is ALC off .
7. yellow LINE led corresponding to signal linearity correction
of the broadcast signal
8. Red LOWP led indicates the presence of the low power
alarm (sent by the PA)
a. No problem if off
9. Red VSWR led indicates presence of TOS alarm (sent by
the PA) Adaptation of antenna output Not a problem if off
10. Red Temp led indicates the presence of the temperature
alarm (sent by the PA)
a. PA Temperature
b. No problem if off
Test button:
The continuous activation of this button produces a Tetra
modulation composed only of '1's. The result is a carrier at
frequency F0 + 2.25 KHz.
Pushing and releasing this button 3 times in a row resets the card.
The microcontroller and the Xilinx are reset.

11.10 Power amplifier (PA)

This module amplifiers the RF signals sent by the CPU module in order to deliver 10 Watts RF.
It is powered by +28 volts and can be checked on the front face of the UCM2. The PA alarms
are present on the front face of the UCM2. The PA provides a set point for the regulation of its
output power.
The amplifier has an internal blocking mechanism if it does not receive the transmission
command from the UCM. No measurements can be made if the BS is not in TETRA
transmission.
The module has an integrated circulator which protects it from accidental load disconnections
and considerably minimises the risks of intermodulation with neighbouring transmitters.
The power amplifier is mounted on the rear face of the BS.
