Why might an understanding of the aims of other DP courses be important for course
planning and structuring purposes

This is important because each of the DP courses mentioned above have


something to share with ESS. ESS, as an interdisciplinary subject from groups 3
and 4, may be the link for group 3 and group 4 subjects, for example,
economics could work with biology through ESS help and also ESS may learn
from economics and biology. Moreover ESS course could be designe taking into

account the shared keypoints with the other subjects so that, at leaste in a few
subjects, the candidate experiences a learning continuum.
