Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a lecturer at Bogor Agricultural University of Indonesia, and was Ms.
Dini Novialisas Advisor for her bachelor thesis. Now I am pleased to
recommend her to your master program in Biomaterials science.
During the one-year period while Ms. Dini worked with me on her thesis
project, she impressed me deeply as a highly motivated, goal-oriented
student of lively personality and creativity. She was a member of our
research group for a project I was in charge of in developing a sustained
release preparation for a biomaterial implant in living. She had part to make
better combination of materials to be implanted into animal bone. She has
demonstrated a solid educational background and a remarkable ability in
lab experimentation. She had also participated in the animal implantation
and animal observation until 3 months after implantation. In addition, she
has an excellent command of English, which is rather uncommon among
undergraduate students. She can read professional journals and documents
in English without any problem.
As her teacher and former Advisor, I am proud of Ms. Dini for her academic
achievements. She certainly stands out as a student of great potential who
would contribute greatly to any programme. Since the study and research in
Biomaterials in Indonesia are still below international standards, I personally
believe that it will be to Ms. Dini's best interest to enter a graduate degree
program in Biomaterials in a technologically advanced country. Furthermore,
I believe that studying at your university will provide her with valuable
experience and will help her deepen understanding of the subject she is
sincerely interested in.
