It deals with planning, flexibility, selection of equipment, economic of design and hints to be taken care of in operation and maintenance, It describes criteria in selection of system voltage, fault consideration, and discusses the safety and protection of electrical system. SINOPSIS (SYNOPSIS): Electrical system design is the most important topic which will be discussed in this subject. This subject covers methods of wiring, schemes of distribution and protection for lighting and power installations for buildings of all types. Other electrical systems such as fire alarms, call systems, lifts, standby supplies and lightning protection are also covered. For each, the methods of design are described in detail, with examples of calculations. The chapter on lightning protection has been revised to confirm to the latest standards and a section on uninterruptible power supplies has been added. This subject will provide a sound understanding of the design principles used to design electrical circuits in accordance with the applicable national safety. HASIL PEMBELAJARAN (LEARNING OUTCOMES): At the end of this course the student will be able to: | 1. Design an clectrical schematic diagram with accordance to the IEEE rules and regulations. PLO4-C5) 2. Organize a group project on electrical system design using CAD tools. (PLO10-DS-P5) 3. Show concer on electrical safety and energy saving based on electrical regulations and practices.
