    Contact tracing refers to partner notification in regards to controlling sexually transmitted


    diseases, as it helps in reducing the spreading of sexually transmitted diseases.
    MGs husband needs to be contacted as he might have been in contact with the virus and
    might need treatment, MG might need counselling in order to deal with the situation she is in
    now. While performing contact tracing a balance between patients confidentiality and
    providing best outcome for the health of the community is to be maintained. Beneficence is a
    public health intervention and not informing MGs husband would be considered as
    negligence of care.
    Thus contact tracing is ethically justified as it helps to prevent individuals and their partners
    from sexually transmitted diseases.
