Speaker Profile

Location
David Herrin is an associate professor at
department of Mechanical Engineering, University
of Kentucky. He is the director of Vibro-Acoustics
Consortium research work at the University of
Kentucky. The consortium has been working with
several industries including Caterpillar, Harley
Davidson, American Acoustical Products, Emerson
Climate Systems, etc. His expertise are in field of

acoustics materials, muffler and silencers design, structural dynamics ,


and numerical analysis. In addition, he has been (co) authoring more
than 30 international journals papers, and 70 conferences articles. Most
of his research activities are related to real problems of acoustics and
vibration in Industry.

Intended Participant : Practicing engineers, faculty,


undergraduate/graduate students with interest in noise control
and acoustic design/simulation.
