There are differences in Chonologies of Hebraic Tanakh or Masoratic Tanakh

and Greek Septuagint or LXX.


As for LXX it has served as the official Old Testament of Christians sects since
ages and Masoratic Hebrew was left for Judaism. But latter Masoratic Herbraic
Text was adopted.
It was claimed that LXX is less acurate.
What is still believed by the followers of LXX is as follow:
Seventy-two Jewish scholars were asked by the Greek King of Egypt Ptolemy
II Philadelphus to translate the Torah from Biblical Hebrew into Greek, for
inclusion in the Library of Alexandria.
King Ptolemy gathered 72 Jewish translaters who knew Greek and Hebrew.
He placed them in seventy two different chambers, each of them in a
separate one, without revealing to them why they were summoned. He
entered each one's room and said: "Write for me the Torah of Moshe, your
teacher". God put it in the heart of each one to translate identically as all the
others did.
One may not accept theses traditions ,yet if there were 72 translaters then
there must be seventy two copies of Hebrew Text , may not be MASORATIC.
The interesting harmony in the translations may be due to editting and
readaction.
Any how Most of the quotations from the Old Testament in the New
Testament used the Septuagint as their primary source. The integrity and
truthfulness of the Septuagint is completely dependent on the Septuagint
being a truthful translation. Discredit the Septuagint and there is no New
Testament. According to reliable Christian Sects The Septuagint predates the
first appearance of the Masoretic text by almost ten centuries. According to
themThe Septuagint is based upon Hebrew texts at least twelve centuries
older than the texts upon which the Masoretic version is based. Yet, modern
Numarical Literalists being Christians translations of the Old Testament rely
on the Masoretic Text, not the Septuagint. Also according to the Christian
Supporters of LXX who predate Christian Supporters Of Masoretic Tanakh "
There was no controversy about the integrity of the Septuagint from 250
B.C.E until 135 C. E.
So Those Numarical Literalists who take numarical values from Masoretic
Tanakh neither follow Judaism nor Source Of New Covanent , STILL they claim
to be Christians. Followers of Septuagint even accuse Rabbi Akiva. According
to them this Great Rabbi along with his fallowers rewrote the Jewish Bible to

destroy the credibility of the Books of New Testament.


So to locate the time of Exodus based upon the Masoratic Texts cannot be an
Article of faith according to all Christan reliable sects.
Any how there must be some Hebrew Bibles from which LXX is made and
they must differ from Masoratics at times.
In this case the number of years given in LXX are equally important.
But the Masoretics differ from Septuagints in several places, and this is a
sufficient proof that the numbers cannot be taken exactly.
Judaism which does not recognise LXX does not take these numbers Literally.
They trust the writers and copyists of Masoretic Books and consider any thing
in contradiction to MASORETIC as Not reliable.
Some Numarical Literalists supports LXX only when New Covanent ald LXX
agree against Masoretic Texts. But New Covanent can not be taken since it is
written even after the New Testamental Crucifixion.
So the numarical Literalism is just incorrect and invalid once for all.
Numerical differences may be discussed as follow:
1]Greek Septuagint (LXX) had an extra 1000 years in the genealogical list .So
one may date civilizations 1000 years earlier than what the Masoretic text
mentions.
2] Some try to make interpretations to allow extra 450 years instead of 1000
years.
[ The artificial nature of Harmony in different Biblical Chronologies is
unreliable ,based upon personal views and not Biblical.

Any how we present a list as follow:=


Creation to the Flood :=
1656 yrs.[MT], 1307 yrs. [Samaritan] , 2242 or 2262 yrs. [LXX]
Flood to Abraham's Birth :=
352 yrs.[MT], 942 yrs. [Samaritan] ,

1132 or 1232 yrs. [LXX]

They may need conversions.


There are two possible totals for the LXX because different manuscripts of

the LXX have different readings for some of the figures.


Similarly the number of years from Exodus to the forth year of Solomon's
regime is 480 in Masoretic Tanakh and 440 LXX. LXX IS further supported by
Dead Sea Scrolls .
So this agreement of LXX and Dead Sea Scrolls against MT implies that this is
certainly not an error of copyists' pen but there were some Hebraic Books of
Tanakh which were used by the authors of LXX.
That Biblical Chronology is not recorded in any currently recognised
calendrical system is demonstrated by the fact that no one can align it either
in it's self proclaimed internal synchronisation of Israelite and Judaean kings,
or with known history.
So those who insist on the Calendrical system of Numbers of 365 days 0r 360
days 0r else , they are all conjectures , at best probables and at worst
improbables but never certain.
So there are definite and posative reasons to doubt in the number of years
given as 440 or 480 in there literal meanings.

1]Australian scientist and Bible scholar Barry Setterfield wrote an article "A
Revised Biblical Chronology," See: URL: http://ldolphin.org/barrychron.html.
Setterfield uses as a reference, is 586 BC, the destruction of Solomon's
Temple by Nebuchadnezzar. He interprets the prophecy in Ezekiel 4:1-5 as
referring to Israel's 390-year period of idolatry, which had begun with the
division of the monarchy into the northern and southern kingdoms, at the
death of Solomon. He takes this to mean that Solomon's death was in (586 +
390) BC = 976 BCE. Since Solomon reigned for 40 years, and 1 Kings 6:1 says
he started the Temple in his 4th year, that must have been 36 years earlier
than his death, or in 1012 BCE.
1012- 970 = 42 YEARS BEFORE THE ALLEGED DATE.
According to his calculations Exodus must have occured in 1585 BC.
2]Some use
Ussher's Method (but not his dates) with the Masoretic text. There are a
some
conflicts with some archaeological and historical data.
The data shews differences as follow:

From Creation to Flood :652 Masoretic Years,2262 Septuafintal Years and


1307 Samaritan years.
From Flood to Abraham : 352 Masoretic Years,1232 Masoretic Years and 2309
Samaritan Years.
This shews that differences of 200 years are not only Possible but probable
from Exodus to the 4th year of King Solomon's Regime.
3] Common Era:
The Common Era some time is used for BC as BCE and AC/AD as CE.
But in technical sense it is used for the reference point of Biblical and Secular
year.
One need some event that is accurately known in both the Biblical and
Secular systems. The most accurately known such event is the destruction of
Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem, by Nebuchadnezzar. This allegedly took
place in 586-587 BC. But Biblical trail for this is not clearly defined. Different
scholars have different ways of tracing the exact number of years leading up
to this. Length of reign for the various Hebrew kings is given, but there are
conflicts in a number of spots, so that this is not clear and is UNCERTAIN.
When the year of reference is not clear any calculation of date of building of
the temple is not certain implying that the date of Exodus is Certainly Not
Certain.
It may ammuse the advocates of late Exodus Models and it may annoy the
beleavers of Early dates Models that there is the difference of four years.
Some claim it to be in 970 BCE and some in 966 BCE.
4] From LXX some conclude that Foundation of the Temple laid, in the 4th
year of Solomon=
4168 AM or 1033 BCE. 63 YEARS BEFORE 970 BCE.
What is the point behind all this is that there can be an error of 200 years in
calculation of Exodus not only from Biblical side but from Secular side EITHER
DIRECTLY OR AS A RESULTANT FROM BOTH SIDES.
