The story begins when Keiko goes to visit to her Uncle Henry and her Aunt Emi, but Emi
becomes ill and Keiko go to stay in the Michaelsons house until Emi comes back from the
hospital. Keiko is agree with Mrs. Michaelson and she stays in the Mikes room, apparently,
Mike is the Keikos best friend and she trust in him. In that afternoon Keiko packed her
suitcase and move with the Michaelsons house but there is a problem, the Uncle Henry
doesnt like the pets and the house was full of collections and all kinds of pets. When Keiko
saw Tama she was sitting on the couch whit the Mikes mother and say what the Uncle
Henry doesnt like she, Mikes mother put an arm around Keiko and say: Thats not so at
all, your uncle just doesnt know how to show you, he really loves you very much, Keiko
doubtfully, accept the affirmation. For Keiko, it was strange sleep in the Mikes room
because he have ships model on the wall and airplanes hanging from the ceiling, the only
good thing was that Tama was sleeping in the same room. Keiko fell asleep holding Tama
in her arms, but Tama sneezing too much and woke Keiko up. She remember that opened
the window and she could feel the night air, when she up to the bed to close the window,
she sniffed a strange smell in the air, like chemicals and gases, and she was afraid they
would burn Uncle Henry's carnations again and suppose the flowers were ruined that night.
She wondered what to do, finally she woke everybody up so she got up quickly and put on
her bathrobe, then she go to the Mikes door and knocked, it was easiest tell him first. Mike
not reply so Keiko shouted and banged on the door. The Mikes father up from the bed and
answered to Keiko, Whats the matter? Mikes mother opened the window and she
agreement with Keiko, that some smell strange, immediately remembered what had
happened the last time too. On the other hand, Henry with a sleepy look said: I think we
should let things go till morning carefree, Mrs. Michaelson said what dressed everybody
because all going over to cut the flowers. Around fifteen minutes the family was coming to
the greenhouses and Keiko saw a dim light in one of them, all started to cutting the flowers
with a sharp pocket knife, The Mikes mother was the boss here and she said to Keiko who
they need more newspaper and Mike toward carried to the packing house and he showed to
Keiko how to roll a few sheets together. She worked fast, and she want to show that to the
Uncle Henry, Mike helped her for a while and started to package the cut flowers. They
classified the flowers while she picked up carefully in the grading table. In this period
Keiko remember what the father had said: You must love the tree enough almost to
become the tree yourself. When they finished cutting the flowers, quickly back to the
packing home, and Henry is very grateful with Keiko for the notification, Tama would get
proper credit to Keiko, because she woke up to Keiko. Tough he looked very tired, Keiko
knew he was pleased with her.
