Server rules

RP
Pick a job description at creation. It should be a one or two-word title. You can start with four skills you
are proficient with, three of which should have close ties to your profession. These determine how you
should play heavily, so do not stray from what your character would have experience in. Your skills can
expand, but make it slow development. One new item/block a week with a tutor outside of your
purview is likely a good rate, but use your discretion if the tool is more complicated.
Remember your profession and skills in what you craft! A carpenter or blacksmith can make more
advanced chests
You can only use stone tools where they do not apply to your profession, and iron tools if they do
apply. Diamond tools are craftable (by a smith or other applicable craftsman), but are only usable in
recipes or as a prize from server events. Obsidian will have to be gotten some other way it seems...
Shipments to and from the mainland occur once a week on Saturdays. Crates full of goods can be
traded, and you likely will not get as good a rate as found in the city, but you can get rid of excess items
for a bit of coin or order in rarities at a dear price. Ordering in items requires payment up front and
while you can attempt to haggle, it will add another week to the amount of time it takes for your goods
to come in.
Make your structures realistic. The more realistic the better. The following are suggestions.
Shore up weak dirt walls with wooden supports
Add braces in mines
Avoid unsupported spires
Do not extend ceilings more than 7 blocks (variable dependent on material or design, arches and
domes ftw) past supports
Reward good RP! If you see someone laboring at reinforcing a pit before they lay their foundation for a
house that takes a lot of work! There is a set of book and quills in a chest in the town hall, leave a note
of who did what well and both of you may get a little reward. Contrariwise, if you see something that
bothers you or that breaches RP to the point of harming others' experiences, let a moderator know.
Death is not the end! Usually! Character death is a very real threat, but only in RP. It has to be agreed
upon by the person being killed and if there is a killer, there may be RP repercussions if they are found
out. Luckily, the magistrate is usually more creative than resorting to imprisonment or the death
penalty.
Think about what you wear/carry around. A backpack isn't common for those who are just out and
about in town but would be smart while traveling or hauling goods, and while a mercenary might carry
a sword around in town, a priest would not.
Properties/Permissions
Do not damage or steal from other peoples' properties. This includes setting up destructive traps such as
fire or explosives, or transporting creepers into city walls. If you want to act as a thief, the player must

be online and in-character. Locks are added via BetterStorage and are suggested to safeguard valuables
in reinforced chests.
