1. Word study Choose 2-3 ways
to study the word list sent
home this week. The options are
on the bookmark to the right ->
2. Independent read 20-30 min/
night. Students can use a
reading log at home until
Biblionasium is up and running.
The reading log can stay at
home for now.
3. Eureka Math Module 2
Practice. Students will have
homework 2-3 nights this week.
Please look in home folder for
separate worksheets. The
Module 2 Parent Help sheet is
also attached for reference.

*Word Study Options*

Basic Word Sort:
Read the words aloud. Sort by spelling
pattern and/or sound.
Speed Sort:
User a timer to sort as fast as you can.
Blind Sort:
Lay down a word from each category as
a header then have someone else read
the rest of the words aloud. Tell where
each word goes without seeing it.
Word Hunt:
Find 2-3 words in each spelling category
from a book.
Writing Sort:
Have an adult call out words in random
order. Write the words in categories.
Adult should call out words you misspell
until you get them correct
Sentences:
Choose 8 words to write in complete
sentences
ABC Order:
Write your words in alphabetical order.
